Biography
Born in 1906 in Bilgah . In the Red Army from 1923 to 1935 and again from 1941 . Since her first war in the army, he fought on the Southwestern Front .
In 1941, in the battles near Poltava he was shell-shocked. Member of the battle for the Caucasus , fought in the North Caucasus Front and the Northern Group of Forces. In 1944, he fought as part of the 4th Ukrainian Front , liberated Odessa . He particularly distinguished himself during the period of hostilities from March 6 to March 18, 1944. As deputy commander of the 4th separate fighter anti-tank battalion battalion division, Guard Captain Aligeydar Ibrahimov was at the forefront of the battalion. On March 10, 1944, in the Bashtanka area, he personally directed the reflection of two enemy attacks, during which the Germans left more than 60 corpses on the battlefield. On March 14, personally, with a squadron of Kuban Cossacks and five tanks, he burst into an enemy column by force to an infantry regiment with artillery and self-propelled guns. Ibragimov's squad defeated and scattered the enemy column. Up to 170 corpses of soldiers and enemy officers remained on the battlefield. For skillful leadership of the personnel and courage in the battle on the recommendation of the commander of the 4th Guards Cossack Cavalry Corps of the Guard, Lieutenant General Pliev , Aligeydar Ibragimov was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky [1] .
In the summer of 1944, already being the commander of an art division, he participated in the liberation of Brest and the Brest Fortress . In the battles for the Brest Guard, Major Ibragimov was seriously injured. He received a total of 17 injuries and lost his sight.
Died of his wounds on November 6, 1953 .
He was awarded two orders of Alexander Nevsky , orders of the Battle Red Banner , Red Star and Badge of Honor , medals "For Military Merit" and "For the Defense of the Caucasus . "
Memory
- In the village of Bilgah, a bronze high relief of the work of the State Prize laureate Fuad Abdurakhmanov with the image of Ibragimov and the inscription in gold on marble “Here the valiant son of the Azerbaijani people, participant of the battles for the Brest Fortress of the Guard Major Ali Heydar Ali Kuli oglu Ibragimov is buried. 1906-1953 ” [2] .
- On the wall of the house in Baku, in which Ibragimov grew up and lived, a memorial plaque was installed with the inscription in Azerbaijani and Russian "Major Ibragimov Ali Heydar Ali Guli oglu 1906-1953, the hero of the Brest Fortress of the Guard, grew up and lived here."
