Arif Mardin ( born Arif Mardin , , - , ) is a Turkish and American music producer who collaborated with hundreds of musicians in various genres of music, including jazz , rock , soul , disco and country music . Mardin worked for Atlantic Records for over 30 years as an assistant, producer, arranger, studio manager, and vice president of the company; then he switched to EMI , where he worked as vice president and general manager of Manhattan Records . Mardin collaborated with Queen , The Bee Gees , Culture Club , Scritti Politti , musicians such as Anita Baker , Aretha Franklin , Robert Flack , Bett Midler , Laura Branigan , Chuck Khan , Phil Collins , Daniel Rodriguez , Norah Jones , Richard Marks , Jewel , Ringo Starr and many others. Arif Mardin has been awarded 11 Grammy Awards . [5] [6]
