Words and Music
The musical line of the song is borrowed from Madonna's single “Holiday” (1983). Producer Ben Librand was interested in trying to use the original and re-record music from scratch, but unlike selecting the original, with different lyrics and a new melody. According to the lyrics, the performers talk about their summer holidays spent in different cities, such as London and New York . [2]
The video clip for the song was marked by the MuchMusic channel as the worst video clip of 1987.
After the success of the composition, the Soviet singer and disc jockey Sergey Minaev used her musical basis for his song entitled “The Hudsovet”, or “Rap Disc Jockey”, which was included in the album Radio Abracadabra . In 1989, a video clip was shot for the song.
