It has a rehydrating, antioxidant , diuretic and detoxifying effect. Replenishes the volume of circulating blood in hypovolemic conditions, reduces blood viscosity and improves its rheological properties.

Indications
Hypovolemic and hypoxic conditions of various etiologies ( blood loss , shock , trauma , intoxication ). Acute cerebrovascular accident ( stroke ), proceeding according to the ischemic and hemorrhagic type. As a component of the perfusion system for filling the heart-lung machine .
- Contraindications
In all cases where intravenous administration of large volumes is contraindicated.
Drug Interactions
Methusol can be used in combination with colloidal solutions ( polyglyukin , reopoliglyukin , neogemodez , hemodez , gelatin, etc.); the drug is also compatible with donated blood, erythromass, plasma and other blood products.
The use of Methusol does not interfere with the use of commonly used antishock agents, including benzodiazepine drugs, as well as muscle relaxants (suxamethonium, etc.), proteolysis inhibitors ( aprotinin ) and adrenomimetics ( dopamine , adrenaline
