Developer
CAE Fidesys was developed by Fidesis, founded in 2009 by specialists and graduates of the Department of Computational Mechanics of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov .
The company has the status of a resident of the Skolkovo Innovation Center [1] .
CAE Fidesys Standard
The commercial version of CAE Fidesys Standard was launched in 2012.
CAE Fidesys Standard includes the following features:
- problem solving at plane stresses and plane deformations;
- calculation of the stress-strain state of three-dimensional bodies under static and dynamic loading;
- calculation of natural frequencies and vibration modes of elastic bodies;
- calculation of critical loads and buckling forms;
- problem solving for bodies containing beam and / or shell elements.
CAE Fidesys Online
Fidesys online - a free cloud-based system for automated engineering calculations. With Fidesys online, users can solve linear and non-linear static strength problems.
All calculations and visualization of the calculation results of the user-loaded CAD-model completely occur in the cloud. In the future, the calculation results can be downloaded to the user's device in VTK format.
The service allows you to calculate the stress-strain state of the body under static loading.
For calculations, the finite element method is used. It is possible to calculate a model containing up to 100 thousand nodes of the finite element mesh.
Additional Modules
The following is a list of additional modules: [2]
- Fidesys Dynamics allows you to solve dynamic strength problems by the method of spectral elements (MSE), the maximum calculation error of which does not exceed 0.2% (when using the finite element method (FEM) it is on average 4% with a comparable number of degrees of freedom).
- Fidesys HPC is a module for parallelizing the process of solving static and dynamic strength problems. This module allows you to fully parallelize the entire computing process using OpenMP / MPI technologies, starting from the stage of constructing a stiffness matrix. Such parallelization can significantly increase the speed of calculations.
- Fidesys Composite is a module for building a realistic composite microstructure and calculating the effective mechanical characteristics of composite materials [3] .
