Basualdo, Jose

José Oracio Basualdo ( Spanish: José Horacio Basualdo ; born June 20, 1963 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is a former Argentine footballer and midfielder . Member of the World Championships in 1990 and 1994 in the national team of Argentina . After the end of his football career, he became a football coach.

Club career

Basualdo began to play in the Argentine teams, playing in the lower divisions examples . In 1989, he signed a contract with the German " Stuttgart ". In Germany, he spent two seasons, being the main midfielder of the team. In 1991, he returned to his homeland, where he played for Racing Avellaneda for two seasons without special achievements. In 1993, Jose moved to Veles Sarsfield . In his very first season, Basualdo, along with a new team, became the champion of Clausura 1993. The following year, he helped Veles win the Libertadores Cup and win the Intercontinental Cup . In 1995, José won the national championship for the second time.

In January 1996, José moved to Boca Juniors , which he spoke for until the summer. In July, Basualdo left for Spain , where he played for the Segunda teams, Extremadura and Real Jaen . In 1998, he returned to Argentina , signing a contract with the Deportivo Espanyol team. He spent six months at the new club, after which he decided to try his hand at Boca Juniors for the second time. In the "Boca" Basuldo three times won the championship of Argentina , and the second time in his career became the winner of the Libertadores Cup. After leaving the club in 2001, Jose tried to reanimate his career by returning to his former teams. In 2003, he decided to end his career as a football player in the club where he started it.

International Career

In 1989, Basualdo made his debut in the Argentina national team . For the national team, he spent 31 matches. Jose in the national team took part in the World Championships in 1990 and 1994 , and in 1993 became the owner of the America's Cup .
