Biography
He graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Foreign Affairs of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1970) and the Higher Diplomatic Courses at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia (1999, 2009), trained in the graduate school of the University of Malaya (Malaysia) (1971-1972). Candidate of Historical Sciences (1980), Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (since 2000). In diplomatic work since 1970.

- 1982 - 1987 - First Secretary, Counselor of the USSR Embassy in the Philippines .
- 1990 - 1992 - Deputy Director of the Department of Asia-Pacific and South-East Asia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR (since 1991 - Russia).
