Miami Heat list of seasons at the National Basketball Association . Over the 24 seasons of its existence (until 2012), the “Miami Heat” reached the NBA playoffs 16 times. The team won the NBA title twice. The club won twice in the NBA championship, in 2006 and 2012. In addition, the Miami Heat reached the NBA Finals in 2011, where they lost to the Dallas Mavericks . The best record of winning and losing the team was 66-16, in the 2012/13 season, the worst result was 15-67, in its first season 1988/89.
