Biography
SV Vasilkovsky was born in 1892 . He taught bridge engineering in Leningrad universities. Head Department of Construction Sciences in the USSR Academy of Arts . Professor Corresponding member of the Academy of Architecture and Construction of the USSR. Engaged in the design and construction of bridges. He completed a large number of civil buildings projects in Leningrad .
During the years 1944-1945, a small town of oil workers with a living area of 25,000 m² and all necessary public, communal and domestic buildings was built near the project of S.V. Vasilkovsky and A.V. Arefyev near Guryev . In 1946, the authors of the project were awarded the Stalin Prize 2 degrees. In 1982, in Kazakhstan, the dwelling of oilmen was recognized as a monument of architecture and history of republican significance [1] [2] .
S.V. Vasilkovsky died in 1960 . He was buried in St. Petersburg on Serafimovs cemetery .
