International Communications in the DPRK
Calls from abroad to the DPRK pass through the international communication service (telephone + 850-2-18111). Only a small number of phones can be called directly from abroad.
Telephone numbers in Pyongyang, which may be called from abroad, always have the prefix + 850-2-381ххх (for calls to the DPRK). These phones can not be called from the DPRK, for this you need to dial 02-382xxxx.
Example: the phone of the ambassador of Great Britain to the DPRK in Pyongyang: +850 2 381 7980 (for calls from abroad) and 02 382 7980 (for calls from the DPRK). [3] .
Most of the lines in the special economic zone of Nason are mainly oriented not to communication within the country, but to international communication of foreign companies (mainly Russian and Chinese) with foreign countries. [four]
Calls between the DPRK and the Republic of Korea are prohibited [2] , except for calls to and from Kaeson Technopark .
