Geography
Aul is located in the northeastern part of the Galanchozh district, northeast of the district center of Galanchozh .
The nearest settlements are the ruins of the former villages: in the north-west - the former villages of Bonchu-Diga and Magusta , in the southeast - the former village of Mushechu , Sakilinzhili and Zarkha , in the south-west - the former village of Jenchu [1] .
History
Aul Upper Azhgechu was liquidated in 1944 during the expulsion of the Chechens. After rehabilitation, which occurred in 1956 , the Chechen population was forbidden to settle in the area [2] .
