Geography
Aul Gurchu is located on the southern slope of Boloilam , northeast of the Galanchozh district center.
The closest ruins of the villages: in the northeast - the former aul Bonchu Diga , in the northwest - the former aul Kechnyukhi , in the southwest - the former aul of Jenchu , in the southeast - the former aul of Sakilinzhili [1] [2] .
History
Aul Gurchu was liquidated in 1944 during the expulsion of the Chechens. After rehabilitation, which occurred in 1956 , the Chechen population was forbidden to settle in the area [3] .
Since 2012, Gurchu aul has been part of the previously abolished Galanchozh district .
