Ivane Gvaramadze ( Georgian. ივანე გვარამაძე , October 17, 1831 , Valais - May 24, 1912 , Akhaltsikhe ) - Georgian Catholic priest, teacher, ethnographer, publicist and public figure.
Biography
Ivane Gvaramadze was born in Val in the Catholic family Pavel Gvaramadze. After graduating from elementary school, he went to Istanbul , where the Georgian enlightener Petre Harischirashvili founded a Georgian monastery and a school with him. In the late 1860s, Ivane was ordained a priest, engaged in pedagogical and journalistic activities.
