Biography
Yurevich Eduard Ivanovich was born in 1888 in a working-class family in the Katlakalnsky volost of the Livonia province.
Member of the RSDLP (b) since 1913 . Having joined the party, he worked in underground circles in the city of Riga (Lithuania). In 1914 he was drafted into the army, after 3 months he was arrested and sentenced to 4 years in hard labor.
During the Great October Socialist Revolution in Moscow he was the organizer of the Red Guard of the Khamovnichesky District.
In 1917-1919, he was a member of the MK Party and a member of the Executive Committee of the Moscow Council.
In 1919-1920 he worked underground in Latvia, was arrested. In 1920-1921 - Chairman of the Pskov Provincial Control Commission, then Deputy Head of the Organizational Department of the Pskov Provincial Committee of the RCP (B.). In 1922-1926, at party work in Moscow, then from 1927 to February 1930 - executive secretary of the Bashkir regional committee of the CPSU (b). In 1930-1935 - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Chemists, member of the Presidium of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions.
Since 1935 he has been working in the People鈥檚 Commissariat of Heavy Industry of the USSR, since 1944 - 1st Secretary of the Liepaja City Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Latvia, head of the sector of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Latvia, from 1948 to 1958 - teacher of Marxism-Leninism of the Latvian Agricultural Academy .
Member of the Central Audit Commission of the CPSU (b) (1927-1934). Member of the Party Control Commission under the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks (1934-1939).
