Kibuye ( fr. Kibuye ) is a city in the west of Rwanda , the administrative center of the Western province , as well as the Karonga region .

Geographical position
The city is located in the western part of the province, on the eastern shore of Lake Kivu , at a distance of approximately 78 kilometers west-south-west (WSW) from the country's capital, Kigali . The absolute height is 1457 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
