Gabdulla Khabirovich Kudoyarov ( 1899 - 1984 ) - ophthalmologist, doctor of medical sciences ( 1962 ), professor ( 1962 ), honored worker of science of the RSFSR ( 1973 ) and the Bashkir ASSR ( 1967 ), honorary citizen of Ufa ( 1969 ).

Biography
Kudoyarov Gabdulla Khabirovich was born on June 7, 1899 in the village of Ablaevo, Belebeyevsky district of the Ufa province (now Chemagushevsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan ). He studied at the "Galia" madrasah .
In 1926 he graduated from the medical faculty of Perm University .
In 1933-1954 intermittently held the position of chief oculist of the Ministry of Health of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
In 1942-1943 served in the ranks of the Red Army.
In 1943-1975 is the head of the department, and in 1945-1954. - Director of the Ufa Trachomatous Institute [1] .
In 1955-1975 also headed the department of eye diseases of the Bashkir Medical Institute .
In 1975-1982 He was a professor at the Department of Eye Diseases of the Bashkir Medical Institute.
In 1984, he died in Ufa at the age of 85.
Scientific activity
The main areas of scientific activity of the professor was the study of epidemiology, clinic, pathomorphology and prevention of trachoma, viral diseases of the eyes, herpes, surgical treatment of cataracts, glaucoma [2] . The work of the doctor of medical sciences on the study of trachoma and the organization of the fight against it contributed to the eradication of this disease not only in the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, but also in other regions of the USSR and in a number of foreign countries.
Professor G.Kh. Kudoyarov is the author of more than 160 scientific papers, he has written four monographs: “A textbook on eye diseases for paramedical workers”, “Biomicroscopic changes in the cornea during trachoma”, “Guide to trachoma”, “The emergence and course of trachoma” [3] . Created a republican school of ophthalmologists.

Memory
- In honor of G. Kudoyarov, the prize of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan was named “for outstanding work in the field of medical sciences”.
- A decision was made to install a memorial plaque commemorating the name of Kudoyarov Gabdulla Khabirovich in the house where “he lived and worked for many years”, at the address: Ufa, ul. Pushkin, 54/1 [4] .
