Letaba [1] ( African: Letabarivier ) is a river located in the eastern part of Limpopo province , South Africa . This is one of the most important tributaries of the Elefantes River [2] .

The river begins at the confluence of the Groot Letaba and Klein Letaba rivers, from where they continue their journey east through Veld . It flows into the Elephantes River in the foothills of the Lebombo , near the border of South Africa with Mozambique . In Mozambique, the river is called Rio-dos-Elephantis.
Tributaries: Ngarveni, Ngveneni, Nvaneji, Molotosi, Nsama and Makaji.
