Biography
Grigory Dobrodomov was born in 1925 in the village of Novoyasenovka (now Rakityansky district of the Belgorod region ) in a working family. He graduated from nine classes of the school. In March 1943, Dobrodomov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since May of that year - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. By September 1943, Red Army soldier Grigory Dobrodomov was a shooter of the 764th Infantry Regiment of the 232nd Infantry Division of the 38th Army of the Voronezh Front . He distinguished himself during the liberation of the Sumy region of the Ukrainian SSR and the battle of the Dnieper [1] .
On September 7, 1943, during the battle for the village of Katerinovka in the Lebedinsky district of the Sumy region, Dobrodomov replaced the outdated company commander and successfully supervised its actions. On October 4, 1943, Dobrodomov personally destroyed 10 enemy soldiers and officers during battles at the Lyutezhsky bridgehead [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 10, 1944, Red Army soldier Grigory Dobrodomov was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal [1] .
He died in battle on the territory of Hungary on November 20, 1944. He was buried in Miskolc [1] .
He was also awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree and a number of medals [1] .
Memory
In honor of Dobrodomov, an alley was named and a bust was installed in Rubtsovsk [1] .
