Bulbasaur ( Japanese フ シ ギ ダ ネ Fushigidane , English Bulbasaur ) - together with Charmander and Squirtle, one of the starting Pokemon of the Kant region . Its types are herbal and poisonous. Raticate ( ラ ッ タ Ratta ) is the evolutionary form of Rattata . Its incisors become much more powerful than its previous form: it is able to gnaw wood, stone and even concrete. Because of this, the Raticate poses a threat to buildings ^[130] . With the help of his vibrissa, the Pokemon keeps balance, if he loses them, it will be much more difficult for him to move ^[131] . He has membranes on his hind legs, with the help of which Ratikate swims quite well ^[132] .

GamesRadar noted that Ratikate is simply indispensable at the time the game begins, but later it becomes not so useful ^[133] . Pokémon of the Day Chick, describing the Pokémon, decided that although it is not so effective towards the end of the game, it may well serve as an “unpleasant surprise” for opponents ^[134] . Ekans ( Japanese ア ー ボ A: bo , Eng. Ekans ) is a poisonous type Pokemon snake . When born, Ekans has no poison: his bites, although painful, are harmless ^[144] . It feeds on the eggs of pokemon birds, for example, Piji or Spyrow ^[145] . The older the Pokemon, the longer its body. In the very first episode, Ash receives from Professor Oak his starting Pokemon. In Ash's native Kanto region, novice trainers can choose one of three starting Pokémon: Bulbazavr , Charmander or Squirtle , but Ash was late for issuing Pokémon, and instead of the laid Pokémon he got the last one left from the professor - Pikachu. Raichu ( Japanese ラ イ チ ュ ウ Raityu:, English Raichu ) is a developed form of Pikachu . After evolution, its tail becomes longer, and it uses it as a ground electrode to protect itself from its own powerful electricity ^[174] . If too much electricity accumulates in his body, the Pokémon becomes irritable and begins to glow in the dark ^[175] . To calm down, he sticks his tail into the ground and releases an excess current ^[176] . If the bags behind his cheeks are fully charged, then his ears become protruding ^[177] . If the electricity in his body runs out, he raises his tail to accumulate energy from the air ^[178] . The power of his lightning strike can reach one hundred thousand volts and can cut down even the strongest Pokemon, for example, Dragonite ^[179] .

Loredana Lipperini, author of Generazione Pókemon: i bambini e l'invasione planetaria dei nuovi , noted that Raichu is not as popular as Pikachu ^[180] . In case of danger, the Pokemon can curl up in a ball: since its skin is very strong, the enemy’s attacks cannot harm him ^[186] .

Sandslash ( Japanese サ ン ド パ ン Sandopan , English Sandslash ) - the evolutionary form of Sandshir . During evolution, spikes appear on his back, with the help of which the Pokemon protects itself. In case of danger, it turns into a spiky ball, and can also curl up to avoid sunstroke if the sun is hot ^[187] . In battle, it also uses long claws, if the claws or spikes break, they grow back quickly enough ^[188] .

Nidoran♀ ( Japanese ニ ド ラ ン ン Nidoran Mesu , English Nidoran♀ ) is a poisonous type Pokemon. It is considered as a separate species from the Nidoran male . The female nidoran does not like to fight and she has a rather meek disposition ^[189] , however, the horns on her back emit extremely dangerous poison. The horns of females are smaller than those of males ^[190] .

Nidorina ( ニ ド リ ー ナ Nidorina ) is an evolutionary form of Nidorina . They are quite calm and caring. If there is no danger nearby, Nidorina draws spikes into the skin ^[191] . Her horns are developing more slowly than her male variant Nidorino , so she prefers not to join the battle without special need. In battle, prefers physical attacks, Nidorina fights using claws and fangs ^[192] , and is also able to publish ultrasounds that confuse the enemy ^[193] . If you use the Moonstone on Nidorina, then it will turn into its final form - Nidokvin ^[194] .

Nidokvin ( Japanese ニ ド ク イ ン Nidokuin , Eng. Nidoqueen ) - the final stage of development of the female Nidoran . Her whole body is covered with solid needle-like scales that stand up if the Pokemon is alarmed ^[195] . When fighting, uses his massive tail ^[194] . Nidorino ( ニ ド リ ー ノ Nidori: but , Eng. Nidorino ) is a developed form of Nidoran male . Unlike its female variant, Nidorina, Nidorino is quite hot-tempered and easily angry ^[200] . If he is angry, the spikes on his back become jagged. The Nidorino horn is comparable in hardness to diamond ^[201] and releases the strongest poison, which is injected into the enemy’s wound according to the same principle as its previous form ^[202] . Запах, источаемый пестиком у него на голове, можно почувствовать за 2 километра от покемона, и даже на таком расстоянии, вдохнув его, можно потерять сознание ^[284] . Если использовать на Глума Лиственный камень, то он превратится в Вайлплума ^[285] , а если Солнечный камень — в Белоссома .

GamesRadar назвал Глума «мерзким» из-за его слюны изо рта, и отметил, что Вайлплум лучше, поскольку он так не воняет ^[286] . Pokémon Chick привела Глума как пример уродливой промежуточной формы в эволюционной ветви покемона ^[287] .

Ва́йлплум ( яп. ラフレシア Рафурэсиа , англ. Vileplume ) — финальная форма Оддиша , прошедшая стадию Глума . Грибы Параса находят широкое применение в медицине, в частности, при правильном употреблении они способны продлить жизнь ^[295] .

Парасе́кт ( яп. パラセクト Парасэкуто , англ. Parasect ) — развитая форма Параса . После эволюции гриб начинает активно паразитировать на покемоне, полностью покрывает его тело и овладевает его разумом ^[296] . Гриб-паразит может полностью истощить своего носителя, если из носителя уже нечего поглощать, гриб осыпает спорами его кладку яиц ^[297] . Из-за условий, необходимых для роста гриба, Парасект селится в сырых местах ^[298] . Чем больше размер гриба, тем более ядовиты споры, которые он выделяет ^[299] . В аниме у одного из главных героев второго сезона наблюдателя покемонов Трейси Скетчита был Венонат. Трейси неоднократно использовал его для поисков различных объектов.

Ди́глетт ( яп. ディグダ Дигуда , англ. Diglett ) — покемон-крот земляного типа. Обитает на глубине одного метра под землёй, но иногда показывает голову на поверхности. Питается в основном корнями деревьев ^[311] . Этот покемон большую часть жизни проводит под землёй, потому что он не выносит солнечного света: на свету его кровь нагревается, и ему становится плохо ^[312] . Из земли выходит только его голова, настоящие размеры Дигглетов остаются загадкой ^[313] . В Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team и Blue Rescue Team Диглетт упоминает, что у него есть ноги ^[314] . Способен рыть с огромной скоростью в 100 километров в час и тем самым вызывать землетрясения ^[318] . Дагтрио может докопать до глубины в 100 километров под уровнем моря ^[319] . Чтобы копать быстрее, Дагтрио работает синхронно тремя головами ^[320] . В бою закапывается под землю и атакует из неожиданного места ^[321] .
