By tradition, a few months before the release of the new album, all members of the group updated their costumes. The new members of the ensemble were keyboardist Hella (replacing Ava ) and drummer Mana (replacing the deceased Otus ). The first single, The Riff , was released on February 9th.

Songs
- In this album, the band breaks the tradition of putting the track βSCGβ at the beginning of the album. In "To Beast or Not to Beast", this track contains Otus' drum solo at a concert in France, and completes the album.
- Also for the first time in the songs there is no mention of the album name, before that in all previous ones there were either songs of the same name, or these names were mentioned in the compositions.
- The track "Hulking Dynamo", present in the Japanese edition, was recorded back in 2002, but was not included in Get Heavy . The song can also be found on Scarchives vol. 1 .
