Biography
I. A. Krumin was born in the town of Gorodok in the Vitebsk province . After graduating from the school of peasant youth in 1930, he entered the Vitebsk Cooperative College. Before the start of World War II, he worked as an accountant. In the Red Army - since August 1941. In 1942 he graduated from the crash course of the Gomel Mortar School. At the front since November 1942 Participated in battles on the Central and 1st Belorussian fronts, in the liberation of Kursk , Orel , Sevsk , Chernihiv , Right-Bank Ukraine.
The platoon commander of the 120-mm mortars of the 45th Daursky Rifle Regiment of the 106th Trans-Baikal Rifle Division, Lieutenant I. A. Krumin, showed courage and courage in the battles for crossing the Dnieper River . Under heavy enemy fire, on October 15, 1943, crossed to the right bank of the Dnieper in the Loev area to adjust the fire of our artillery, which fired at the crossing. He was wounded, but continued to carry out a combat mission. And only when the second echelons crossed, a shift came, he agreed to evacuate to the medical battalion.
As a result of the heroic actions of Lieutenant I. A. Krumin, the artillery acted perfectly, the enemy firing points were suppressed in a timely manner, which ensured the successful crossing of the Dnieper and the capture of the bridgehead on the right bank of the river.
The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded on October 30, 1943.
In 1946 he was discharged. He graduated from the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the CPSU, was at party and state work in the city of Riga . Since 1948 - in the apparatus of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Latvia, First Secretary of the Dobele District Committee of the Communist Party of Latvia, Head of the Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Latvia, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, First Deputy Minister of Trade of the Latvian SSR, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Consumer Societies of the Latvian SSR.
He was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Latvian SSR of the 3rd, 5-9th convocations.
He was awarded 2 orders of Lenin , the October Revolution , the Order of the Patriotic War I degree, orders of the Red Banner of Labor , Red Star .
