Parliamentary elections in the Federated States of Micronesia were held on March 5, 2013 [1] . They elected 10 non-partisan senators to the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia . 21 candidates participated in the elections, three of whom were the only candidates in their constituencies. Election System
The Parliament of Micronesia, called the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia , consists of 14 senators. 10 senators are elected one from each constituency for two years, and four senators are elected by the proportional representation system for four years. In the 2011 elections, all 14 senators were elected. In 2013, 10 representatives from districts were elected. The elections were non-partisan.
