Biography

Born in the family of a priest . She graduated from the Tomsk diocesan school.

In 1920 she graduated from the Natural Department of the Physics and Mathematics Department of the Siberian Higher Women's Courses . Since 1921, she worked at Tomsk State University (TSU), a junior herbarium keeper. Since 1931 - Senior Guardian of the Herbarium of Tomsk University . Candidate of Biological Sciences (1938), Associate Professor of the Department of Plant Systematics, TSU (1942). Doctor of Biological Sciences (1954), since 1954 - at the Department of Botany, Associate Professor, since 1956 - Professor.

Pupil P.N. Krylova . She participated in the collection of materials for the compilation of the 6-volume work Flora of Western Siberia. She studied Siberian plants, for example, high larvae [1] . Described several dozens of new plant species [2] , including the Ural forget-me-not ( Eritrichium uralense Serg. , 1964 ) [3] .

Five species of plants are named after her. Some of them: Alyssum sergievskajae Krasnob. , 1975 [4] , Stevenia sergievskajae (Krasnob.) Kamelin & Gubanov , 1986 [5] , Achillea sergievskiana Shaulo & Shmakov , 2002 [6] .

During the years of World War II, Herbaria focused its work on the procurement of medicinal raw materials , went on special trips to Transbaikalia three times.

She prepared three candidates of sciences.

The portrait of L. P. Sergievskaya is presented in the gallery of portraits of the Honorary Professors of TSU [7]

She was buried in the University Grove of TSU .
