Biography
Kulaeva, Olga Nikolaevna [1] was born on May 26, 1929 in Moscow.
Graduated from MV Lomonosov Moscow State University .
Place of work: Institute of Plant Physiology named after K. A. Timiryazev RAS. In 1971, she created and headed the genome expression laboratory for 30 years.
Scientific directions of Kulaeva's work: physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology and plant hormone. She was the first to study the mechanisms of action of phytohormones, their role at the level of the cell and the whole plant. I found that plant hormones - cytokinins - are an internal signal by which the roots control the functional activity of above-ground organs, in particular, they delay leaf aging. She was the first to rejuvenate leaf cells with cytokinins.
Kulaeva's students are 6 doctors and 40 candidates of science.
O. N. Kulaeva created a scientific school in the field of plant science.
