Imbi Karlovna Valgemäe ( Est. Imbi Valgemäe ; September 28, 1923 - August 27, 1960 ) - Estonian Soviet actress, master of the word of art. Honored Artist of the Estonian SSR (1957 [1] ).

Biography
Tammiku Farm (now Võru County) was born in Estonia in a family of agricultural workers. At six, she lost her mother [1] . In 1938 she graduated from school. The girl dreamed of becoming an actress, but due to lack of money she could not continue her studies and was forced to go to work. Hard work and poor nutrition undermined her health.
After the war, she came to Tallinn, where from 1947 she began to work as a master of literary words at the National Philharmonic. Having poor eyesight, performed with poems and stories for children, recorded on the radio. In 1951-1952 she studied at the studio of the Drama Theater. It gained national fame due to its talent to imitate children's and teenage voices. The last performance of the actress took place on February 25, 1957 in Karksi Nuia . In the same year, she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Estonian SSR.
She died in Tallinn on August 27, 1960 . She was buried at the Forest Cemetery of the city [2] .
