Christian Alberto Traverso ( Spanish Cristian Alberto Traverso ; born April 17, 1972 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is an Argentinian footballer . protector Two-time winner of the Libertadores Cup and three-time Argentine champion in the Boca Juniors .

Career

Christian began his career in the Argentinos Juniors team in 1991. He spent 3 seasons in the Juniors camp, taking part in more than 100 matches. In 1994, he moved to the Universidad de Chile Chilean club, in which he won the national championship and was recognized as the Football Player of the Year in Chile . For the tough and uncompromising style of the game from Chilean fans, he received the nickname "Tiger". In 1997, he returned to his homeland, where he signed a contract with Boca Juniors . In the new team, he became a real legend. With "Boca" he won the Argentine Primera three times, and won the Libertadores Cup twice in a row in 2000 and 2001. Despite the large number of titles, Traverso was never called up to the Argentina national team .

Perid from 2002 to 2004, Christian spent in Mexican Example , where he was the pillar of the defense of “ Queretaro ” and “ Puebla ”. In 2004, he returned to his native “Boca”, with which he won his last trophy, the South American Cup .
