Content
History
Dikson district was formed in 1957 by separation from the Ust-Yenisei region . It included 1 single settlement - the town of Dikson . After the liquidation of the district in 2006, its territory was transferred to the urban settlement of the village of Dikson, Taimyr district, Krasnoyarsk Territory .
According to 1983 data, the Dikson district did not have an internal administrative-territorial division. The district included the working village of Dikson and the villages of Cape Chelyuskin , Sredny , Ust-Tareya and Eclipse [3] .
On the territory of the region is the Large Arctic State Nature Reserve - the largest reserve in Russia and all of Eurasia - was created by a decree of the Government of Russia on May 11, 1993. The reserve with an area of 4,169,222 hectares covers the territory of the Arctic with a length of 1,000 km from west to east, and in latitude - more than 5 ° (600 km) [4] .
