Biography
Born November 21, 1890 in ( Orange Free State ). In 1930, Eric Lowe became the first ambassador of South Africa to the United States of America and the League of Nations . In the government of the National Party of 1954, he was appointed Minister of Finance, in 1957 he became Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country and represented South Africa in the United Nations . In total, from 1948 to 1961, he performed representation in this organization 8 times. The latter happened in 1961, when he and Hendrick Fervurdom participated in the conference of the Commonwealth of Nations in London , during which South Africa's membership in the Commonwealth of Nations was suspended. On December 31, 1963, Eric Lowe resigned as Foreign Minister. Died June 24, 1968 in Cape Town .
