The North was descended from the Galatian clan that reigned in Ankir , who received Roman citizenship under the reign of Emperor Octavian Augustus and the clan name Julius. His father was consul-suffocate around 138, Guy Julius Sever.
North began his career as a military tribune of the IV Scythian Legion , then was the emperor's candidate for the position of quaestor , after being appointed as a tribune of the people. In 145, he became a city praetor . From about 147 to about 150, the North was in the post of legate of the XXX Victorious Ulpiev Legion . Apparently, in the years 151-154 he was the curator of the Appian Way . In 155, the North held the position of ordinary consul. His colleague was Mark Junius Rufin Sabinian . Between 155 and 162, the North was the legate proprietor of the province of Palestine in Syria .
It is known that the North was a member of the Quindecemvir board of sacred rites .
