History

Initially, the Tippmann Family company was engaged in the production of large-scale models of real automatic weapons, but due to changes in US law since 1986, Tippmann entered the paintball equipment market.

Tippmann characterizes its products as high-performance and reliable equipment at affordable prices.

Markers Tippmann Model 98 along with markers "BT" are one of the most popular in Russian paintball clubs, providing equipment for rent. Such popularity is explained by the general low cost of markers, ease of maintenance and unpretentiousness in use.

Currently, many clubs are replacing the Model 98 rental fleet with the lighter and more modern Tippmann Gryphon and Tippmann FT-12.

Produced Paintball Markers

Crossover

Crossover is one of the newest Tippmann markers, sales of which started in 2012. Crossover uses FlexValve technology, which allows you to change the mode of operation of the marker from electro-pneumatic to mechanical and vice versa, which makes it suitable for both tactical and sports paintball . The marker is equipped with “eyes” that prevent the balls from splitting with a bolt. The operating pressure is 300 psi , which allows the use of a marker with a low-pressure balloon. The body is made of aluminum. The gas line runs inside the housing.

Given the possibility of working in electro-pneumatic mode and the potential for use in sports, the Crossover board has pre-installed operating modes that are legal for all major series of championships in sports paintball - PSP, NPPL, Millenium.

FT-12

The FT-12 is one of Tippmann's latest rolling grade mechanical markers, launched in 2012. The main feature of the FT-12 is a simplified disassembly of the case, which can reduce the time for maintenance of the marker up to 75% compared with earlier models of markers Tippmann. The gas line is internal, which also speeds up the complete disassembly of the marker.

98 Custom Platinum

98 Custom Platinum - the most current version of the most popular Tippmann mechanical marker - Model 98, first entered the market in 2008. Marker 98 families are used in most paintball clubs as rental equipment.

While maintaining the durability and reliability of the 98 model, Custom Platinum is complemented by many changes.

Unlike earlier versions, Picatinny rails are preinstalled on Custom Platinum, the marker body parsing method is simplified, it is standardly equipped with a vertical front handle, and ACT (Anti-Chop Technology) anti-splitting system is installed. Many upgrades are available for Model 98-based markers, such as the optional Response Trigger, e-Grip, and the Cyclone Feed System.

A-5

A-5 is a semi-automatic marker popular with MilSim paintball fans, released in 2002. For this model, the largest number of kit kits is produced, with which you can build a paintball prototype of real weapons on the basis of the A-5. First released in the H&K MP5K body kit.

One of the main features of this marker is the ability to change the type of barrel thread using a special adapter, allowing the use of spyder, autococker and other threads.

The A-5 was one of the first to be able to use the Cyclone Feed ball feeding system, which makes it possible to increase the rate of fire compared to the gravity feeder, and the Cyclone does not require an additional battery, the work is carried out by selecting the working gas. Installing an electronic stick or electronic trigger allows you to fire automatically, the rate of fire - up to 15 balls per second

X7 Phenom

Tippmann X7 Phenom is the second generation of the X7 marker, released in 2010. The design used FlexValve technology, which allows the marker to work at low pressure (about 300 psi), as well as work in mechanical mode.

It has Picatinny rails as standard. Traditionally for Tippmann, the ball feed system is Cyclone Feed.

TPX / TiPX

Tippmann TPX is a low-cost paintball gun released in 2009, one of the most popular guns on the marker market.

For food, stores with 7 or 8 balls are used, which are inserted into the lower part of the handle, as in a conventional pistol. The barrel thread is similar to that on the A5 / X7 markers.

Both air and CO2 can be used as a working gas, it is also possible to use 12-gram CO2 cans, which are inserted into a special chamber located under the barrel.

Tippmann TiPX is the second generation of Tippmann pistols. The main changes affected the design of the valve and the regulator, combining these two elements into one. The updated Tru-Feed store corrected the flaws that the 8-ball shops of the old version had.

Accessories for pistols include an adapter for powering an external cylinder (the so-called “mamba”), which allows the use of TPX / TiPX with any paintball cylinder, Hammerhead trunks, a hip holster and additional stores.

US ARMY line

The US ARMY line of markers imitates real weapons, created with the assistance and under license of the US Army .

Tippmann 98 Custom MilSim Markers

Alpha Black / Bravo One - a marker created on the basis of 98 Custom, imitating the appearance of the M16 rifle . You can install the electronic handle eGrip, feeder Cyclone and any barrel with thread 98 Custom.

Project Salvo / Sierra One - imitates the AR-15 rifle. The standard equipment is equipped with 4 Picatinny rails and a 6-position telescopic stock , which can be folded to the right side of the marker.

On Project Salvo / Sierra One, you can optionally install a Response Trigger, an eGrip electronic grip and a Cyclone feeder.

Carver One / Tango One copies the appearance of the M4 rifle. Equipped with three small Picatanni strips on the forend and one large bar on top of the housing. Sights and belt loops are part of the marker body. The internal structure of the marker is based on 98 Custom and repeats all similar nodes. Since 2012, all Tango One markers are standardly equipped with a vertical front handle, the installation of which, however, does not interfere with holding the marker by the forearm, as marker body longer than 98 Custom. Like other markers based on 98 Custom, the eGrip can be installed on the Tango One, but the Cyclone Feed ball feed system is not compatible with this marker, due to the different way the feeder collet is attached to the marker body.

Additional accessories and upgrades

ACT

`` ACT (Anti-Chop Technology) '' is a proprietary mechanical system integrated into the bolt group, which allows to reduce the likelihood of a bolt splitting due to balls that did not completely hit the shot chamber at the moment the trigger is pressed. ACT technology is structurally very similar to Spyder’s similar ACS bolt system.

Cyclone Feed System

Cyclone Feed is a Tippmann original design feeder that allows you to increase the rate of fire up to 15 balls per second. The peculiarity of this power feeder is that it does not require a battery to operate, the impeller of the feeder rotates due to air coming from the gas system. This approach allows you to get rid of problems with power supply and makes the system more resistant to wetting, but increases the air flow in the main system.

Response Trigger System

The Response Trigger, like the Cyclone feeder, is designed to increase the rate of fire. The principle of operation is that part of the excess working gas after the shot brings the trigger to its original position, however, finger pressure on it immediately causes the next shot, etc. To conduct automatic fire using Response Trigger, the user of the marker needs to apply force to the trigger medium size, and maintain it constantly.

E-Trigger Electronic Trigger / eGrip Electronic Grip

E-Trigger is an electronic trigger for Tippmann markers. Unlike the classic trigger, the E-Trigger requires a battery for operation and does not actually set the trigger mechanisms in motion, but activates a switch that turns on the solenoid. The handle board has several firing modes - semi-automatic, with a burst of three shots, fully automatic. Third-party boards are also available for sale, on which there are some other settings and fire modes.

The name E-Trigger is usually an accessory for 98 Custom and Alpha Black markers, while the eGrip name is used to designate the part for A-5 and X7 markers.

Barrels Flatline Barrel

Trunks Flatline - the first rifled barrels for paintball markers. Cutting in the barrel allows you to twist the ball, which theoretically increases the firing range by about 30 meters with a flatter trajectory . However, such trunks are quite demanding on the shape of a paintball ball. Balls with small dents and other irregularities when using Flatline barrels can fly along an unpredictable path. In addition, such trunks are quite “rough” with balls, so balls with a thin shell tend to split in trunks with slices. Thus, the owners of Flatline trunks have a fairly responsible attitude to the choice of balls and abandon the rolling class shells, the shape of which is often imperfect.
