Located 35 km south-west of the city of Porkhov ; 19 km south of the volost center Tugotino .

Until 2005, the village was part of the Lukovischensky volost as its administrative center, until 2010, it was also part of the now abolished Zarechensky volost (with its center in the village of Molochishche ).
