Geography
The village is located 5 km from the village of Usse- Gorlice , 12 km from Gorlice and 106 km from Krakow .
History
The village was founded at the beginning of the 16th century by the Polish knightly family Gladysh.
Until the end of World War II , Lemki lived in the village [1] . After the war, a military unit of the UPA was operating in the vicinity of the village. In 1946-1947, most of the villagers were resettled during the Vistula operation in western Poland.
Residents of Novice and the neighboring village of Przyslup are engaged in the artisanal production of wooden souvenir spoons.
