Club career
Quiroga is a graduate of the Newell's Old Boys football academy. He made his debut in the main team in 1997. A year later, he signed a contract with the Portuguese Sporting . In the new team, Facundo spent 6 seasons with a break for a one-year rental in the Italian Napoli . In the 1999/2000 season, Quiroga played an important role in the Lions winning the championship. In Portugal, he played with another Newells Old Boys player, Aldo Ducher .
In “Napoli”, Quiroga took part in almost all the matches of the season, but was able to help the Neapolitan club maintain a residence permit in Serie A. In Italy, he performed with his Sporting partner Luis Vidigal . At the end of the lease, Facundo returned to the location of the Lisbon team.
