Coat of arms of Uvarovo

“In a golden field with a narrow green border there is a purple cherry with a green stalk turned up and to the left and the same leaf, accompanied by three purple bees with silver wings at the top, and a narrow golden belt at the top, scaly, scalloped, edged with azure above.”

The coat of arms of the city of Uvarovo in accordance with Article 4 of the Law of the Tambov Region dated March 27, 2003 No. 108-Z “On the Coat of Arms of the Tambov Region ” can be reproduced in two equally acceptable versions:

- without a free part;

- with the free part - a quadrangle adjacent from the inside to the upper right corner of the coat of arms of the city of Uvarovo with reproduced figures from the coat of arms of the Tambov region.

The coat of arms of the city of Uvarovo can be reproduced with the status crown of the established sample.

The symbolism of the coat of arms of the city of Uvarovo is ambiguous:

- the bees indirectly reflect the origin of the name of the former village of Uvarovo. It was named after P. S. Uvarov, who hunted in these places by hunting and flight hunting (collecting honey from wild bees). The purple color of the bees symbolically reflects the antiquity of the profession of a flight attendant. Bees on the coat of arms of the city indicate that the city belongs to the Tambov region, in the coat of arms of which there are also three bees;

- Cherry is a symbol of the wealth of the Uvarov lands by cherry orchards. Cherry - a symbol of goodness and tenderness;

- a wavy belt - a symbol of the river Crows ( Don basin), on the banks of which stands Uvarovo.

Gold is a symbol of the highest value, greatness, wealth, and harvest.

Green color symbolizes spring, health, nature, youth and hope.

Purple is a symbol of power, glory, honor, noble origin, antiquity.

Silver is a symbol of purity, openness, divine wisdom, reconciliation.

The first coat of arms of Uvarovo was approved by decision No. 226 of the executive committee of the Council of People's Deputies of the city on July 28, 1989. The emblem had the following appearance: “In the golden field of the shield, half a green tree, half a smoking factory chimney, a blue wavy line in the lower part are depicted.” ^[2]

On April 26, 2001, according to the project of the chief architect of the city, Yuri Ivanovich Sushkov, the new coat of arms of the city was approved by Decision of the City Council of People's Deputies of the city of Uvarovo No. 59. The coat of arms had the following description: The coat of arms of the city of Uvarovo is an image on a heraldic shield with a ratio of width to height of 5: 7 of four elements symbolizing the historical, geographical, economic distinctive features of the city:

- The name of the city is Uvarovo. It is depicted in the upper part of the heraldic shield on a green field with a ratio of width to height 1: 5, in golden letters.

- A symbol characterizing the administrative affiliation of the city to the Tambov region, as well as personifying the occupation of many city residents - three bees (an element of the historical coat of arms of the Tambov province). They are depicted on a yellow field in a horizontal line by a combination of the following colors: black, golden, blue.

- The symbol characterizing the peculiarity of economic activity (large areas of cherry orchards in the city) is a cherry fruit with a stalk and leaf. It is depicted on a yellow field in the center of the heraldic shield at the intersection of the diagonal axes of symmetry of the shield with a combination of the following colors: burgundy, brown, green.

- The symbol characterizing the natural-geographical feature of the city and to a large extent caused the emergence of Uvarovo - the Vorona River - two rows of wavy lines depicting the river. Depicted on a yellow field at the bottom of the heraldic shield in a horizontal line.

The coat of arms of Uvarovo was finalized by the Union of Heraldists of Russia and on November 29, 2012, by the decision of the Uvarov City Council of People's Deputies, it was approved as an official symbol of the city.
