Biography
Orthodox. Of the nobles, the son of an officer.
He graduated from the 1st Cadet Corps (1886) and the Mikhailovsky Artillery School (1889), where he was promoted to second lieutenant in the 24th Artillery Brigade .
Ranks: lieutenant (1891), staff captain (for distinction, 1894), lieutenant of the guard (1896), captain (1900), colonel (1904), major general (for distinction, 1910), lieutenant general (1917).
In 1894 he graduated from the Mikhailovsky Artillery Academy . Tutor at the Konstantinovsky Military School (07/07/1894).
A full-time military teacher at the Mikhailovsky Artillery Academy (1899-1905).
Assistant Class Inspector of the Konstantinovsky Artillery School (1902-1907). Extraordinary professor of the Mikhailovsky Artillery Academy (11/03/1905-01/09/1910). At the same time, he was the head of officers studying at the academy (1907-1910). Ordinary professor (from 20.10.1909), head of the educational unit of artillery educational institutions (from 24.09.1910). At the same time, an extraordinary professor at the Imperial Women's Pedagogical Institute (from 18.03.1914).
Honored Ordinary Professor of the Mikhailovsky Artillery Academy (from 24.10.1916). In April 1917 he was elected head of the Mikhailovsky Artillery Academy.
From 1919 to 1923 - Head of the Artillery Academy of the Red Army.
He was briefly arrested by the Cheka (02/11/1920 - 03/04/1920).
Since October 1924 - assistant to the head of the Artillery Academy for educational purposes. Since September 1925 - Head of the Ballistic Department.
He died of asthma on January 3, 1926. He was buried at the Nikolsky cemetery of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra .
