Club career

Le Havre

Olivier Blondel - a graduate of the football club " Rouen ". In 1998 he moved to Le Havre . In the 1998/99 season, the main goalkeepers of the club were Sebastian Amel and Stefan Kassar [1] , and Amel made a bet in the next season [2] . In the summer of 2000, Alexander Wenzel came to Le Havre, who held the number 1 position in the team for 5 years [3] . During this time, Blondel played only 2 matches in the League 2 season 2003/04.

In 2005, Wenzel ended his career as a player and the 2005/06 season, Olivier Blondel began as the main goalkeeper of Le Havre, however, having missed 11 goals in the first 5 matches of the season, he lost the goal to Steve Mandanda . Before the season ended, Blondel played for the team another 5 matches, 2 of which - not completely.

After Mandanda left the team in 2007, Le Havre returned Christophe Revo , who became the team’s main goalkeeper in the 2007/08 season. Blondel did not play a single match in League 2 that season [4] and left the club at the end of the season.

Toulouse and Troyes

Moving to Toulouse , Olivier Blondel was again in the same team with Amel. However, it was necessary to compete for a place in the first team with another goalkeeper of the club - 27-year-old Cedric Carrasso . As a result, Blondel made his debut in League 1 (on February 15, 2009 in the match against Sochaux [5] ), but this game remained the only one for the goalkeeper of the season. In the French championship 2009/10, Olivier Blondel played 13 matches and at the end of the season he returned to Ligue 2 - to the Troyes club.

The goalkeeper regularly played in Troyes for a season and a half, until he was injured in the first half of the match with Reims on December 16, 2011 [6] . In the second half of the season, Blondel played only 20 minutes in the match of the last round of the championship against Amiens [7] . In the summer of 2012, the goalkeeper returned to Toulouse.
