Moshe Einhorn ( born Moses Einhorn ; February 17, 1896 , Volkovysk - February 2, 1966 , New York ) is an American gastroenterologist .

Biography
Moshe Einhorn is the sixth of seven children of Zvi-Hirsch Einhorn, the son of the owner of a pharmacy in Volkovysk , and Mihli Kagan. He was educated in a local heder , then studied at a real school in Volkovysk . In 1908, his parents sent him to Eretz Yisrael , where in 1914 he graduated from the Herzliya Gymnasium in Tel Aviv .
In 1916 he emigrated to the United States , settling in New York . In 1922 he graduated from the medical faculty of New York University . In 1925-1928 he worked at Mount Sinai Hospital, in 1926-1936 - at Bet Isreel . Engaged in medical practice; headed the gastroenterology department of the Bronx Hospital.
In 1926 he founded the "Association of Hebrew Speaking Doctors." In 1927 he founded (together with E. Goldstein) Ha-Rofe ha-Ivri, the only Hebrew medical journal outside Eretz Yisrael , and was its publisher until his death in 1965.
Developed a dictionary of medical terms in Hebrew. He also participated in the creation of a medical library at the Kaplan hospital in Rehovot , which was opened in 1955. The initiator of the creation of a medical library in Tel Aviv (1962), bearing his name.
In 1964, the Tel Aviv Municipality created the Moshe Einhorn Prize in the field of medical research.
