Infrastructure
In the village there are a secondary school, a feldsher-midwife station, a club, and a rural library. There are two grocery stores. There are several fish ponds and livestock farms in the village [2] .
Novo-Bulgars is a zaparomnoye village, that is, it does not have full-fledged automobile communication with other settlements. In 2015, the village was connected by a new road and a bridge across the Erik Chilimny with a highway leading from Astrakhan to Zhitnoye . This road, however, has not been surrendered - it is covered with large rubble, and it is forbidden to drive along it. The only type of public transport connecting Novo-Bulgars with the outside world is a boat crossing across the Bakhtemir River to the village of the same name , which, in turn, is connected to the regional and district centers by bus route. In the future, after the construction of the highway is completed, the local administration plans to open a bus connection with Astrakhan through the territory of the Kamyzyaksky district through Komarovka and the Volga-Caspian , bypassing Bakhtemir.
History
At the beginning of the 20th century , a group of Volga (Kazan) Tatars moved to Astrakhan , hired by laborers to prosperous Yurt residents . In 1918, they united and founded their own village of New Bulgars [3]
In 1929, the Vakhitov Agricultural Collective Farm was organized [4] (declared bankrupt in 2003 ) [5] .
In 1990, the Novo-Bulgarinsky Village Council was formed [6] .
