Biography

Sabitov Kamil Basirovich [1] was born on May 15, 1951 in the village of Elimbetovo, Sterlibashevsky District, BASSR.

In 1973 he graduated from Sterlitamak State Pedagogical Institute.

Since 1992, he worked at the Sterlitamak State Pedagogical Institute as the Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics (1992-2007); Director-organizer (1995), Director (since 1996) of the Sterlitamak branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus.

Scientific directions of Sabitov's work: mathematics of subsonic and transonic gas dynamics, boundary value problems of mixed type differential equations, integral equations, special function. He was the first to establish the effect of the influence of the hyperbolic part of equations of mixed type on the correctness of the Tricomi problem; in developing the method of auxiliary functions, Moravec obtained new uniqueness theorems for solving the Frankl problem and the generalized Tricomi problem for important classes of equations of mixed type simulating transonic flows; solved the uniqueness problems for solving the Frankl problem and the generalized Tricomi problem in the version of L. V. Ovsyannikov and the Tricomi problem for the Chaplygin equation, for which these problems were posed in the theory of the Laval nozzle.

Among the students of Sabitov - 3 doctors and more than 20 candidates of sciences.
