Biography
Severovostokov Averky Yakovlevich was born around 1845-1847 (the exact date is unknown). He graduated from the Ufa Theological Seminary .
In the mid-80s of the XIX century he was ordained a priest. For more than 30 years he served in the John Chrysostom Church of the village of Emashi , being also the law teacher of the Zemstvo school. In the St. John Chrysostom Church, Averky served his whole life - 38 years, until his martyrdom. [one]
Since the mid-1910s, he was a full member of the diocesan committee of the Orthodox missionary society.
Family: wife - Evdokia Vasilyevna (nee Kadomtseva, born 1850). The family had 6 children (4 sons - Pavel, Porfiry, Peter, Sergey and two daughters).
Father Averky tried to give the children a good education. All sons graduated from the Ufa Theological Seminary and served the Church.
He was shot by the Red Army on June 30, 1918, while he was performing a prayer service in the church square with. Emashi of the Zlatoust district of the Ufa province.
Father Averky was buried in the village of Emashah near the church. Memory June 17 in the Cathedral of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia.

Canonization
On October 26, 1999, he was glorified in the face of locally revered saints of the Ufa diocese; at the Council of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000, he was numbered as all-Russian saints.
