Mary Anna McCartney was born on August 28, 1969 in London in the family of musician Paul McCartney and photographer Linda McCartney , who were married for 29 years - from March 12, 1969 until the death of Linda on April 17, 1998 from breast cancer at the age of 56. Mary has a younger sister and brother, fashion designer Stella McCartney (born 1971) and musician James McCartney (born 1977), and McCartney also has an older and younger half-sister - potter Heather McCartney (née C; born 1962) from her mother’s first marriage to Joseph Melville C. and Beatrice Millie McCartney (born 2003) from her father’s second marriage to Heather Mills .
