History
The history of the group from Southern California dates back more than 10 years ago when the Dimestore Hoods group was formed. Dimestore Hoods is: Jim Korthe (vocals, drums); Tom McNerney, Todd Deguchi (guitar); Joe Puccio (bass) and Mike Russo (drums). In 1996, the debut album of the group was released on the famous label MCA Records (USA).
Later, in 1999, vocalist Jim Korthe and guitarist Todd Deguchi put together a new lineup and renamed 3rd Strike. In 2000, they recorded their first single "No Light", from which 2 tracks were included in their debut album "Lost Angel". In 2001, they performed at the annual Ozzfest festival. Then they recorded the song "Into Hell Again" for the soundtrack to the film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. The cradle of life . Unfortunately, having recorded only one album, the team quickly fell apart.
However, in mid-2007, a message appeared on the band’s animated page that 3rd Strike in the person of the same Jim Korthe and Todd Deguchi re-assembled a new line-up, and they are already writing material for the new album. Demos were recorded for the new songs "Buttlecry", "Life Goes On", "Revolution" and "Sinner".
But these plans were never destined to materialize. Troubles with the composition followed. And on January 13, 2010, vocalist Jim Korthe dies.
