Ahekan or Aheki ( armenian կեկան ) - the ninth month of the ancient Armenian calendar . Ahekan had 30 days, starting on April 8 and ending on May 7 [1] .
The name of the month goes back to the word "ahrakan" (in Armenian. Ահրական ) and is associated with fire worship. In the Armenian calendar, the name of the month was also used as “Haruants” ( Armenian .արուանց ), which was associated with agricultural work, in particular with haying [2] .
