In 1930, the family came under dispossession and was sent to a special settlement in the Tyumen region. He lived in the village of Shuga, Nadym district, Yamal-Nenets district, graduated from 7 classes.

In 1942 he graduated from a teacher training college in the city of Salekhard , worked as a teacher in a seven-year school in the village of Katravozh in the Ural region.

In the Red Army since December 1943, from the same time - at the front. Junior sergeant A. Zverev distinguished himself in the battles during the liberation of Belarus.

On June 26, 1944, Junior Sergeant A. Zverev was among the first to cross the river. Western Dvina in the area of ​​the village of Eroshevo (Shumilinsky district, Vitebsk region). Stealthily approaching the enemy’s trench, he threw it with grenades, destroying 10 German soldiers, which facilitated the crossing of the regiment's assault troops. He died in this battle.

He was buried in the village of Ulla, Vitebsk region. There is a monument on the grave.
