Biography

He began playing in 1948 in Yaroslavl in the Spartak children's team, then in the youth team Lokomotiv and the adult team Khimik (Yaroslavl) - 1951/52. From 1952 until the end of his career he played for SKA ( Sverdlovsk )

He was awarded the jubilee medal for the 30th anniversary of the IBF (International Bandy Federation) (1985). He entered the symbolic national team of Russia for 100 years according to the newspaper Sport-Express (1997). He entered the list of the best players of the USSR / Russia teams for 40 years of participation in the World Championships (1998).

He played football well and played for the team ODO (Sverdlovsk) (1954).

Head of the SKA hockey team (December 1969-1972) and head coach (1972-1977). The head coach of the second USSR national team - 1975. Under his leadership, SKA became the champion of the USSR 1974, third prize-winner of the USSR championship 1975, winner of the European Cup 1974, with the participation of Atamanychev SKA became champion of the USSR 1971, third prize-winner 1970.

In field hockey, the head of the SKA team (1969 and 1970) and the head coach (1971-1975 and 1977-1983). Head coach of the youth national team of the USSR in field hockey - 1971-1977. Under his leadership, the SKA field hockey team became the champion of the USSR 1980, the second prize-winner of the USSR championships 1977-1979 and 1981-1983, the second prize-winner of the European Champions Cup 1981. The team of the RSFSR on field hockey under his leadership became the second prize-winner of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR 1979.

Coach of football and hockey teams of KFK Uralmash (Sverdlovsk) - 1984-1989.

He died on May 30, 1989 in Sverdlovsk. He was buried in the East cemetery of Yekaterinburg.
