Klavdia Zakharovna Plotnikova-Anjigatova (c. 1893 - 1989 ) is the last speaker of the Kamasin language (and, as such, any of the Sayan Samoyedic languages). A resident of the village of Abalakovo of the Sayan District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory , her father is Zakhar Perov, a Russian, and her mother is a kamasinka, Athanasiya Andigigatova. In 1963, at the age of 70, she was still very vigorous, doing housework, she herself mowed and freely walked 25 km to the neighboring village of Aginskoye. In 1914, Plotnikova-Andzhigatova met with Kai Donner (she and her parents were number 14 on his list of Abalakian Kamarans); The next expedition, led by A.K. Matveev, arrived in Abalakovo only in 1963 - by that time Klavdiya Zakharovna had not spoken to anyone in Kamassin for 20 years, however, in the process of working with the expedition, she gradually restored her knowledge. [1] The next and last [2] expedition in 1964, under the leadership of Ago Künnapa, gathered significant material, including Kamassin texts recorded on tape.
