Biography
Cossack Zharkynbaev was born on November 10, 1911 in the village of Tashtak (now the village of Zharkynbaev, Issyk-Kul district, Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan ) in a peasant family. He received his primary education, after which he worked on a collective farm . In July 1941, Zharkynbaev was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since January 1944 - on the fronts of World War II. By April 1944, Junior Sergeant Kazak Zharkynbayev was a gunner of the 287th Guards Rifle Regiment of the 95th Guards Rifle Division of the 5th Guards Army of the 2nd Ukrainian Front . Distinguished himself during the forcing of the Dniester [1] .
On April 16, 1944, Zharkynbaev, as part of calculating his gun, crossed the Dniester in the vicinity of the village of Butor, Grigoriopolsky District, Moldavian SSR . When the enemy launched a series of powerful counterattacks with the support of artillery and aircraft, he took an active part in repelling them. When the gun failed, Zharkynbayev continued to fire from the machine gun, destroyed more than two platoons of enemy soldiers and officers. Zharkynbaev’s actions contributed to the successful retention of the bridgehead [1] [2] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, Junior Sergeant Kazak Zharkynbaev was awarded the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Golden Gold medal for "exemplary performance of command missions of the command on the front of the fight against the German invaders and shown courage and heroism" Star ” under number 8076. After the war, Zharkynbayev was demobilized. He returned to his homeland, where he worked as a team leader, chairman of a collective farm, supply manager in a machine and tractor station . He died on July 10, 1969, was buried in the village of Karool-Dёby, Issyk-Kul region [1] .
He was also awarded a number of medals [1] .
In honor of Zharkynbaev, his native village and street in his native village are named [1] .
