Biography
Born on October 3 (16), 1910 in Novorossiysk in a Jewish family. Childhood and youth passed in Krasnodar .
After graduating from high school, she worked at the post office, at the toy factory, and taught at an adult school.
Since 1932 she moved with her husband to Magnitogorsk under construction, after 1934 - to Solnechnogorsk, then to Glazov . Since 1938, she lived in Krasnoyarsk , worked in the editorial office of the newspaper Krasnoyarsk Worker as a labor officer, then a special correspondent .
During the war , in 1944 she joined the ranks of the CPSU (b) , headed the children's technical station. She continued to publish articles about schools, reviews, including in the newspaper Krasnoyarsk Komsomolets.
Since the late 1940s lived in Moscow. Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR (since 1950).
She died on March 14, 2010.

Creativity
The first play of Leah Geraskina - the fairy tale "Khrustald and Katrinka" - was staged in 1947 on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk drama theater . Her plays were staged by Moscow , Khabarovsk , Novosibirsk , Vladivostok Youth Theater, Moscow Drama and Comedy Theater . The play “ Certificate of Maturity ”, filmed in 1954, received the greatest popularity.
