Biography
Born on January 13, 1914 in the village of Shchelkun, Yekaterinburg district, Perm province (now Sysertsky urban district of the Sverdlovsk region ) in a peasant family. Received primary education, after which he worked as a welder of the Sverdlovsk plant "Uralmash" . In October 1937 he was called up for service in the Red Army .
Since May 1942 - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. He took part in battles on the Bryansk , Stalingrad , Voronezh and 1 st Ukrainian fronts, was wounded. In 1943 he studied at the Ulyanovsk Tank School. In his family three times came funerals.
Participated in the Battle of Kursk . By October 1943, the senior sergeant Mikhail Denisov of the Guards was a driver-mechanic of the T-34 tank of the 305th tank battalion of the 53rd Guards Tank Brigade of the 6th Guards Tank Corps of the 3rd Guards Tank Army of the 1st Ukrainian Front. He distinguished himself during the liberation of the Ukrainian SSR [2] .
In October 1943, during the battles for the villages of Grigorovka and Ivankovo in the Kanevsky district of the Cherkassy region, Denisov’s maneuvers contributed to the successful liberation of these villages. In the battle for Ivankovo, he personally destroyed about 10 German guns with calculations. On November 7, 1943, the first in his unit broke into Fastov and destroyed 6 artillery guns and 30 motor vehicles [2] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 3, 1944, for sergeant performance of the military tasks of the command on the front against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown by the guard, senior sergeant Mikhail Denisov was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the medal " Gold Star " No. 2323 [2] .
In September 1945, in the rank of sergeant was demobilized. He lived in Sverdlovsk , worked as an assistant to the head of the machine shop of the Uralmash plant. From 1960 to 1970, he lived and worked in Khadyzhensk, Krasnodar Territory. Later he moved to Kiev .
He died on July 3, 2001 [2] .
