Denisov, Anatoly Mikhailovich

Anatoly Denisov was born on October 14, 1915 in a peasant family in the village of Ksenievsky, Novo-Kuskovsky volost, Tomsk district, Tomsk province (now the city of Asino in the Tomsk region ). Father - Mikhail Ivanovich, mother - Ksenia Andreevna.

He graduated from the seven-year school, worked as a seller in the Asin Selmag. In 1934 he graduated from the one-year radio engineering courses in Stalin (now Novokuznetsk ).

In 1936, Denisov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . He graduated from the school of junior commanders, after which he served as an assistant commander of a communications platoon. He took part in the battles at Khalkhin Gol . Having been discharged, he returned to his homeland, worked as the head of the Asinovsky broadcasting center.

In July 1941, Denisov was re-drafted into the army by the Asinovsky RVK. He graduated from the Novosibirsk Military Infantry School . Since November 1941 - on the fronts of World War II. He took part in the battles on the Karelian (from November 1941 to August 1942), South-West (from August 1942 to October 1943), the 1st Ukrainian (from January 21, 1944 to February 22, 1944) and the 1st Belorussian Front (from 22 February 1944).

By January 1945, Captain Anatoly Denisov commanded a battalion of the 1103rd Infantry Regiment of the 328th Infantry Division of the 47th Army of the 1st Belorussian Front. Distinguished during the liberation of Poland ^[1] .

On January 15, 1945, the Denisov’s battalion crossed the Vistula to the north-west of Warsaw , captured the bridgehead on the western bank of the river and held it until the main units of the regiment approached ^[1] .

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 27, 1945, for “exemplary performance of the command’s combat mission in the fight against the German invaders and shown courage and heroism”, Captain Anatoly Denisov was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal under the number 5962 ^[1] .

After the war, Denisov continued to serve in the Soviet Army. In 1945, he graduated from the Shot courses , in 1954, from the advanced training courses for officers. He served as the military commissar of several regions in the Omsk region . In 1958, with the rank of Major Denisov, he was sacked.

Since 1961, Anatoly Mikhailovich Denisov lived in the city of Kurgan .

Anatoly Mikhailovich Denisov died on September 4, 1978, was buried in the central avenue of the Ryabkovo cemetery in Kurgan ^[1] .
